JAN Trust is an award winning non-profit organisation founded in 1989 and formally established in 1991. The organisation was formed to support and provide services to grass root and hard to reach communities because it was noticed that their needs were not being met in order for them to feel and be part of society.
As demand grew from the community JAN Trust developed its services. Over the years the organisation has expanded rapidly and now serves communities throughout Haringey, surrounding boroughs, London and the UK. It is dedicated to the cause of combating poverty, discrimination, abuse and social exclusion among Black, Asian, minority ethnic, refugee and asylum women.

Over time, JAN Trust has expanded to serve communities of diverse ethnic backgrounds such as Asians, Asians from the sub continent, Africans, Arabs, African Caribbeans, Eastern Europeans and North Africans. We have engaged with approximately over 50,000 people since we were founded in 1991.
Through its range of services and projects JAN Trust is supporting communities to integrate into wider society and become active citizens. The organisation provides a much needed secure space where women can support each other as well as learn together to empower themselves and their families.
